Myrna Meeroff has been acclaimed by critics for her "gorgeously warm sound, rich with color." In 2002, Ms. Meeroff became the first instrumental winner of the Rising Star Competition.

This season’s highlights include her Carnegie Hall debut in the Spring, a performance of her transcription of the Atterberg Concert for Horn with the Broward symphony, and a return to her native soil to give the world premier of “Canciones for Horn” by Paul Basler in the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires.

Ms. Meeroff made her solo debut in 1989 performing Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 4. An avid soloist, she has performed for audiences all over the world, including Germany, France, Switzerland, Argentina, The Bahamas, Jamaica, and Israel.  Myrna performs frequently as the guest artist with symphonic bands all over the world. Her transcriptions for solo horn and band are available at Thompson Edition.

Ms. Meeroff has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami and a Master of Arts in Music degree from Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Meeroff is a faculty member at Broward Community College.  In 2004 she was appointed Artist-In–Residence at the BAK School of the Arts in West Palm Beach.

Ms. Meeroff is currently associate principal horn of the Florida Classical Orchestra.  After winning her first job at the age of eighteen, she quickly earned a position with the New World Symphony. She has played with the Florida Philharmonic, Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Miami Symphony, and the Florida West Coast Symphony.

To continue her commitment to chamber music in the schools she formed the ensemble Combinations.  This multifaceted ensemble performs concerts for children of all ages using various groupings of instruments, multimedia, and other art forms such as dance, vocal music, and theater.

Myrna is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina.  She regularly performs her native music, the tango, both in instrumental, vocal, and dance form.
